MISSIONS

ALCADIA is seeking an experienced Documentation Manager & Webmaster to support ESA’s European Space Components Coordination (ESCC) Executive Secretariat.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the publication, maintenance and dissemination of ESCC documentation, qualification information and standardisation content through ESA’s dedicated platforms and repositories.

This role combines documentation management, website administration, publication support and stakeholder communication activities.

The Engineer will be responsible for the following main activities :

ESCC Documentation Management

Support the management, publication and maintenance of ESCC documentation including:

  • ESCC specifications.
  • Qualification documentation.
  • Certificates and approval records.
  • Historical archives.
  • Technical reports.

Ensure proper configuration control, traceability and availability of documentation.

Publication Activities

Support publication and maintenance of:

  • Qualified Parts List (QPL).
  • Qualified Manufacturers List (QML).
  • Process Capability Approval List (PCAL).
  • European Preferred Parts List (EPPL).

Ensure timely updates and publication of approved information.

Website Administration

Act as webmaster for:

  • ESCIES (European Space Components Information Exchange System).
  • SpaceComponents.org.

Responsibilities include:

  • Content management.
  • Publication of technical information.
  • Maintenance of online repositories.
  • User support.
  • Coordination of future developments and improvements.

ESCC Committees Support

Provide support to ESCC bodies including:

  • Component Technology Board (CTB).
  • Specification Control Steering Board (SCSB).
  • Process and Specification Working Groups (PSWG).

Activities include:

  • Meeting preparation.
  • Documentation distribution.
  • Action tracking.
  • Publication of meeting outputs.

Communication & Stakeholder Support

  • Coordinate communication with ESA experts.
  • Support communications with component manufacturers.
  • Manage publication requests.
  • Support responses to technical enquiries.

Promotion and Outreach

Support:

  • ESCC promotional material.
  • Brochures and presentations.
  • Workshops and events.
  • Training activities.
  • Maintain performance dashboards.

SKILLS

We are seeking an experienced professional holding a degree in Information Management, Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in documentation management or technical publication environments.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in documentation configuration management and content publication processes, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage complex documentation workflows in a technical environment.

They will have solid expertise in:

  • Documentation configuration management and publication workflows
  • SharePoint administration and collaborative platforms
  • Website content management and online publication processes
  • Technical documentation structuring, review and quality control
  • Excellent written English skills for high-quality documentation delivery

In addition, the following experience would be highly valued:

  • Experience within the ESA/ESTEC environment
  • Involvement in ESCC activities
  • Knowledge of aerospace documentation systems and ECSS documentation processes
  • Support to technical committees or secretariat activities
  • Understanding of QPL, QML, PCAL and EPPL processes

Fluency in both English and French is required to ensure effective collaboration in an international and multicultural environment.
